The program doesn't read anything from the input box and also cannot read input from command line.
Thanks for reporting this.
same issue with input box but command line works
same issue using python stdin
Any updates on this? I think it's related to the issue I had with the Haskell stdin
I have noticed this depends on the mode you are in. It seems like there is a silent difference in modes on that back end.
@robmuh: What do you mean by "mode"?
@flyingfisch: from what I understand there is a difference between when you can do certain things from the console window or not depending on the mode of the project, one mode has multiple files and does not allow interaction with the console, the other lets you have a single file and call functions and such directly from the console (akin to python repl from the command line, or nodejs). It would be this affects the input but I have nothing to confirm that.
This should be fixed. Let me know if issues persist.
FWIW the Haskell input box is still broken, though it may be unrelated to this issue. I created a bug for it here: https://repl.it/bugs/p/haskell-getline-does-not-work
Same is working for Ruby repl, the program freezes and nothing happens.
Are you sure you are ending the stdin box with a new line? I tested it and it works for me - if it's still not working, can you send me a link to the repl + the input you're trying?
That's it @Tim Chen! Thanks for the quick reply and sorry for the both ones from my part (;
Hi, this needs to be reopened.
I'm attempting to read input via a python console.
And the console locks.
Running these lines and I get no response when typing in the terminal.
Refresh and inputting the lines manually into the terminal: has the same issue - no response and the terminal hangs.
@mrvenz: Hi Mark, this is a known issue with our new terminal because you opted into our 'explorer' program. You can switch back to the old terminal by opting back out. Let me know if you need help with this!
@Tim Chen: Hi Tim, thanks for that. Opting out of 'explorer' worked a treat.
Thanks for that.
