There are some ideas here and there, so you might see something by the end of the summer.
Update on this featur:
We're going to hold off doing this for sometime. the reason is that with our classrooms product, teachers are creating a lot of good courses that can be integrated into this. We will revisit this later this year.
Great! You should never release it, we can use codeacademy, codeavengers or thousands of tools for that. Repl.it is something special :)
@Faris: I am using the classrooms, and love it. It would be nice to see a notes section added instead of just assignments, so that references can also be posted (currently I simply add my notes within an assignment, but some other method would be useful).
@johnholmes: Can you tell me more how do you use notes? You mentioned using it within the assignment? can you tell me how and what for?
@Haya: Haya, I want to provide info to my students, for example to explain how sorting works. So I create an assignment (that I don't actually want submitted). I might provide some sample code for them that the can execute, and I provide details on what is happening in the code. They can then come back and reference this code whenever they need to implement a search algorithm in an assignment.
So I guess I'm suggesting we have a different kind of post that we can make that doesn't require students to submit. It simply is information that I want my students to read and understand.
Currently I simply create an assignment and tell them not to submit anything, just read it.
We launched community classrooms in beta, there are many tutorials that are created by teachers using Repl.it https://repl.it/community
