I can understand if they wanted to wait for Swift 4 to be officially released, but a way to select the beta compiler would be nice. In any case, I'm sure they'll update the REPL after it comes out.
The things is we cant't update and add all the languages :) it's tons of work on three people. So maybe you guys can help cause we're open scouring part of Replit's technology, you can update and add languages. Also update and add libraries and packages ;)
What do you think about this?
@Haya: I would love to, but I have been very busy recently. If I get a chance I would like to do this.
@Haya: How would one go about adding a new language version of Swift to the REPL? I can't seem to find any documentation for doing so.
I'd also love to see Swift 4 support. What can community members do to help?
Thanks everyone for your help and support! We have not launched the open source project for repl.it yet, but we're working on it. Once we launch it on beta, we'll make sure to notify you!
